Description

The objective of this paper is to provide a comprehensive review of literature on the vegetation of the sagebrush region of North America. Since the objective is to document the current status of knowledge of sagebrush vegetation, emphasis has been placed on thorough coverage of recent contributions. The overall emphasis is on the characteristics of sagebrush-grass vegetation and its major component species. Manipulation and replacement receive less attention.
