This is a handbook about weather stations and instruments. It is designed as a general guide for fire-control personnel who observe and record weather, who locate, operate, and maintain weather stations, and who use weather information. The handbook is intended to cover general operation of fire-danger stations maintained by the various forest protection agencies as well as fire-weather stations maintained in cooperation with the U.S. Weather Bureau.
