The FASMEE FON requests proposals from individuals seeking to serve as discipline leads for the development of the FASMEE study plan. We propose to serve as co-discipline leads for plume development and meteorology for this endeavor. The proposal outlines what data are needed to answer key questions pertaining to plume development and fire-atmosphere interactions, and how the data would contribute to advances in plume models, coupled fire-atmosphere models, and theory. We provide a draft outline of the field deployment we would use to obtain these data, along with identifying weaknesses and points of concern.
