Dr. Eric Stevens of UAF's Geographic Information Network of Alaska (GINA) discusses new satellite imagery that may have utility for fire detection and monitoring in Alaska, including VIRS products. He illustrates the available imagery with examples from the Funny River fire of 2014 on the Kenai Peninsula.
