This project will update and increase the information on invasive plant species available in the Fire Effects Information System (FEIS), link FEIS to other Internet sites with high-quality information on invasive species, and report on information gaps in the scientific literature regarding invasive species and fire. The project addresses Task 2 of the Request for Proposals by summarizing literature on how invasive plants influence fire behavior and fire regimes, using literature reviews to assess response of invasives to fire and potential methods of control, and making this information easily accessible on the Internet. Results of this project will improve managers' ability to address problems with invasive species.
