A simple model that looks at the physical, ecological and social aspects of a fire system is presented and applied to forests in the western U.S. and the highlands of southern Mexico. The model can be used to clarify linkages among system drivers and to identify vulnerabilities and adaptive capacity. This webinar was presented by Mary Huffman, The Nature Conservancy, and hosted by the Fire Learning Network. It originally aired July 27, 2010.
