This paper describes recent and current studies on the Parashant National Monument in northern Arizona. These studies support the Mt. Trumbull Ponderosa Pine Ecological Restoration Project. A major goal of the project is to allow wildfire to resume its historic role in maintaining forest health following decades of declining sustainable conditions.
