The National Interagency Prescribed Fire Training Center (NIPFTC) offers unique programs that blend prescribed burning experience with a flexible curriculum covering foundational topics for prescribed fire practitioners and fire and fuels managers. Emphasis is placed on field experience, providing maximum opportunities for a multitude of organizations and agencies (including international participants, non-governmental organizations, and federal, state, local, and tribal government agencies) to build skills and knowledge of prescribed fire.
This is a full-time salaried position with Tall Timbers with primary day to day activities overseen by the Director of the NIPFTC. Specifically, this is a liaison position that professionally represents Tall Timbers and helps to implement the NIPFTC’s activities. Candidate will be a team player with both organizations. The purpose of this position is to develop and assist with the implementation of NIPFTC training curriculum by ensuring compliance with agency training polices.
