The Angeles National Forest is performing outreach for the position of Supervisory Natural Resources Specialist (Resource / Planning Staff Officer), GS-0401-12/13, located in Arcadia, CA. The position is for permanent, full-time employment. This notification is being circulated to inform prospective applicants of this potential employment opportunity and to determine interest. The Resource / Planning Staff Officer serves as a key member of the Forest Management Team responsible for formulating Resource plans, policies, and objectives for the Forest. Provides forest-wide advice and guidance to staff members concerning air and water resources, environmental compliance, forest planning, wildlife, botany, forestry, mining and minerals, endangered species planning and protection, vegetation improvement, wildland / urban interface and hazardous fuels reduction, and burned area emergency response.
