3rd Southwest Fire Ecology Conference
held concurrently with the
1st Applied Fire Science Workshop
On November 9, 2015 the White House convened a meeting of its Wildland Fire Science and Technology Taskforce. They issued a report calling for more effective Federal agency coordination and collaboration among both the producers and users of wildland fire science and technology.
In response to that call, The Southwest Fire Science Consortium and the Association for Fire Ecology are hosting two concurrent events at the same time and location: the 3rd Southwest Fire Ecology Conference and the 1st Applied Fire Science Workshop. This joint event will provide for a more effective means of linking fire researchers with fire managers and practitioners, and will allow for efficient science delivery through workshops, trainings, planning meetings, roundtables, oral presentations, field trips, and more.
