If you are interested in receiving credit for the NWCG S-495 course, which includes the online units provided above, a qualifying exam, online quizzes, instructor support, webinars, a face-to-face week long session (TBD, 2013), a final exam and an NWCG course completion certificate for those with a passing grade, check back in summer 2012 for the course announcement, and please follow your agency procedures for the NWCG course nomination process. Contact your unit's training officer if needed. Once your nomination has been accepted you will be directed to use this link to register for a University of Idaho Blackboard account, which will give you access to the Qualifying Exam. Students that pass the Qualifying Exam will then be given access to the online course materials AND the additional required online quizzes, webinars, instructor support and more. The S-495 face-to-face session is taught every other year, odd years, in the spring. The nomination deadline for the 2013 spring session will be announced in fall 2012. Do not register for a University of Idaho Blackboard account until your NWCG nomination for S-495 has been accepted. The online portions of the course have been provided above for those that do not wish to attend the S-495 course but do want to access to the materials for their own independent study.
